Hey friend,

Here's your answer,

Prokkaryotes are single celled single celled organisms that do not contain membrane bound nucleus. They are capable of functioning because the nuclear material is in direct contact with the cytoplasm. The nuclear region is undefined, and is called the nucleoid. It contains a single DNA strand that is capable of functioning.

Hope this helps!!!

maallu9524: I basically asked bcos my teacher told they don't have nucleus at all..... that's the reason.....she would have said it by mistake......
Shakespeare0856: Yeah....there's no living organism found without a nucleus......the thing is tht they hv gt a separate name n thts the nucleoid
Shakespeare0856: They dnt hv a nuclear membrane
