The proliferation of endometrium of the uterus:

• Option “D” is correct i.e. luteinizing hormone.

• The proliferation of the endometrium of the uterus is controlled by luteinizing hormone.

• During the proliferative stage in the uterus, the hormone estrogen is free from the maturing Graafian follicles in the ovaries. Estrogen excites the proliferation of cells in the endometrium of the uterus. Estrogen also plays a part in regulating the discharge of FSH and LH from the pituitary gland.
