Two Gentlemen of Verona is a story about two brothers Jacopo and Nicola. A.J Cronin who is the author meets them in the town of Verona. At a young age, the brothers faced many hardships of life such as their father became a victim of early war, their mother died at the early age of their life and so forth due to which they were very strong and didn't depict themselves as emotionally weak. As they got homeless they suffered starvation and were the only family to their sister who was suffering from tuberculosis. In order to meet their sister's medical expenses at a very early age, they started working as a fruit seller, shined shoes, hawked newspapers and also as tourist guides. They never lost their hope and work harder than they were referred to as 'Gentlemen.'
