in plane mirror if u keep a obkect nearer to it it will be seen bigger and if u keep a object far from mirror then it will be smaller.similarly if u place a object at the same distance from the mirror then it will be in equal lenth. As for example - if you are 5 mtrs away from the mirror then your image will also be 5 mtrs away from u.

Hence proved that :distance of object=distance of mirror
