Hi, in a triangle if you draw altitude

you will get two triangles , so we have to prove these triangles congruent

Altitude = Altitude ( common )

Angle made by alt. = each 90°

Side 1 = side 2 ( isoceless Traingle )

therefore, the two triangles are congruent by RHS.......Now by cpct , the bases of two triangles will be equal

this proves that alititide in an icoseless triangle bisects the third side
