Step-by-step explanation:

1) W={}, {red}, {blue}, {yellow}, {red,blue}, {blue, yellow}, {red, yellow}, {red,blue,yellow}

no of subsets= 2^n= 2^3= 8

no of proper subsets= 2^n-1= 8-1=7

2) gn: x belongs set of natural numbers(1,2,3...)

x^2 is less than or equal to 100- 1^2=1, 2^2=4, 3^2=9... till 10^2=100

no of subsets= 2^n = 2^10= 1024

no of proper subsets= 2^n-1= 1023
