First reason is that kulhads cannot be made and supplied easily on a large scale. They should be stored safely as they are easily breakable. Making of kulhad requires top fertile soil. Producing them on a large scale results in the fertile top soil of many areas. Formation of fertile top soil requires thousands of years.
