x = 72/99  = 8/11

Step-by-step explanation:

0.7272727272727272727

divide by 100 = 0.00727272727.

Let x = 0.727272727272727272727

x - (1/100) x = 0.72

(99/100)x = 0.72

99x = 72 x

x = 72/99  = 8/11
