Explanation:

P(x) = x^2 -2x

       =x(x-2)

       = ( x+0)(x-2) are the factors.

(x+0)=0,

                     x=0 .

(x-2)=0,

                      x=2 .

(OR)

if x=0

P(0)=(0)^2-2(0)

p(0)=0

if x=2

P(2)=2^2-2(2)

P(2)=4-4=0

hence proved that 0 and 2 are the zeros of P(x)=x^2-2x
