Let, 3-√15 be a rational number.

Also, 3 is a rational number.

Now,

Rational - Rational = Rational

=> 3 - (3-√15) = Rational

=> √15 = Rational

But, √15 is irrational. So, contradiction of our supposition. Hence, 3-√15 be an irrational number.
