let us suppose that root √3 + 4 is a rational number

√3+4=a/b
√3=a/b-4
√3=a-4b/b

but a and b are rational numbers
therefore a-4b/b is also rational

therefore√3 is also rational

but this contradict our fact that √3 is a irrational number

there fore √3+4 is an irrational number
