Answer:

(5+ 3√2) is irrational

as, 5 + 3√2 = a/b where a and b are coprime integers and b is not equal to 0

5 + 3√2

= 3√2= a/b -5

= 3√2 = a - 5b / b

= or √2 = a - 5b / 3b

where √2 is irrational

and a - 5b / 3b is rational

hence( 5 + 3√2 ) is irrational
