Given 5-√5

To Prove ;

5-√5 is irrational

Solution;

Let us assume that 5-√5 is rational

A rational is that can be expressed in the form f p/q where q should not be zero

5-√5 =p/q

5-p/q=√5

Since p and q are integers so according to this √5 should be rational but it is not so our assumption is wrong

Hence 5-√5 is irrational
