To prove:

→ A−(B∪C)=(A−B)∩(A−C)

Solution:

L.H.S = A − (B∪C)

=A∩(B∪C) ′ ∵(A−B) = A∩B ′

= A∩(B′ ∩C ′) ∵(B∪C) ′ = (B′ ∩C ′)

=(A∩B′) ∩ (A∩C′)

=(A − B)∩(A − C)

= R.H.S
