let us take a triangle ABC in which AD is the median (BD=DC)...(1)
now draw a perpendicular bisector AE perpendicular to BC
ar(ABD)=1/2×BD×AE.....(2)
ar(ACD)=1/2×CD×AE.....(3)
from eq 1 2 and 3
ar(ABD)=ar(ACD)
hence proved
