because, the circles are congruent.and This midpoint so AB=CD.

SandhyaVijay: Thank you so much!!

As, there are 2 congruent circles the radius of both circles will be equal which means that

If we take line PQ and bisect it we will have PR and QR equal

So, PR=QR

Now, we talk about the line AD, as we can see that point R bisects the line so we can also conclude that
AR=DR

Lastly if we remove the little line we can also conclude that AB=CD by applying the same logic as we said that the circles are congruent so there radius is also congruent.

Therefore, AB=CD

Hope it helps.

SandhyaVijay: Thank you! It helped a lot!
UtsavPlayz: Welcome dear!
ruchikaagarwal1978: You said that u can remove those little lines to prove AB=CD but can u say that those little lines are equal
UtsavPlayz: yes
yashbelekar: yes
SandhyaVijay: How are BR and CR equal?
UtsavPlayz: look carefully that R is the midpoint of line AD
SandhyaVijay: I understand. But thanks again :)
yashbelekar: because 'R' IS midpoint of the line so BR & CR equal
