Prove that carbon is tetravalent in nature.

sincr carbon contains 4 electrons in valence shell, it need 4 more to complete its octet.so it shares 4 electrons with other atom to complete its octet and therefore it is tetravalent

As we all know that the Atomic no. of carbon is 6 and if see through electronic configuration then the pattern will like that 2,4 here the last digit is 4 therefore the word tetravalence came from it..for example : carbon have tedency to form large compounds due to its tetravalence..if we combine four H then we get CH4 (methane) which also shows this..thank you..
