It really depends on the format of the determinant. If you just have the determinant, a single value, then good luck ever getting the matrix!

But if it is in the format ab−cdab−cd, then the square matrix is:

[adcb][acdb]

You’ll more commonly see it as

[acbd][abcd]

where the determinant is ad−bcad−bc instead
