Prove that, “Diagonals of a parallelogram bisect each other”.

Given:

LMNO is a parallelogram. Diagonals LN and MO intersect in

point R.

To prove:

seg LR ≅ seg NR

seg MR ≅ seg

Proof:

In Δ LRM and ΔNRO,

∠RLM ≅∠ … (alternate angles)

Side ≅ side NO … (opposite sides of a parallelogram)

∠ ≅∠NRO … (alternate angles)

∴ Δ LRM ≅ Δ NRO by test ∴seg LR ≅ seg

and seg MR ≅ seg c.s.c.t.

Hence, proved.
