Explanation:

Experiment to prove that Heat is evolved during Respiration

Requirements: One Thermo flask, some germinating Gram seeds and athermometer.

Procedure: Some germinating gram seeds are taken in the Thermo flask and closed its mouth tightly with a cork. A thermometer is introduced through the cork so that its bulb rests among the gram seeds. Note themercury reading of the thermometer.

Observation: After some time an increase in theobserved.

Conclusion: Rise of mercury indicates the rise of temperature. And thistemperature is produced by the respiration of the germinating seeds.

Answer:

Aim: Prove that Heat is a evolved during Respiration Matter.

Materials Required: Thermas Flask, Two Thermometers, Rubber Corks, Dry Seeds, Germinating Seeds.

Procedure:

(i) Take a handful of Moong Seeds and soak a day before.

(ii) Keep the soaked seeds in a Cloth Pouch and place it in a corner of any Room.

(iii) Next Day collect the Germinating Seeds and Soak a day before the Experiment.

(iv) Make a similar set with dry seeds. Keep both bottles undisturbed for 1-2 days.

(v) Arrrange Thermometers through One hold rubber cork in such a way that tge Bulb of the Thermometers should dipper in the Germinationg seeds and Dry seeds.

(vi) Record the initial temperature in both Flasks and record it for every Two hours for atleast 1 day.

Observation: Constant increase in the temperature is absorbed in the Thermometers plaaced in Germinationg Seeds and no Change in the temperature of the Thermometer placed in the Flask.

Result: Hence, it is proved that Germinating Seeds respire and liberated that which is responsible for increasing in the Temperature in the Thermometer.
