∴ ∠EGB = ∠ABC (these are the alternate angles)

BC || EF and DE is a traversal,

∠DEF + ∠EGB = 180° (these are the co interior angles)

∠DEF + ∠ABC = 180° (∴∠EGB = ∠ABC)

Or ∠ABC and ∠DEF are supplementary.
