Ans:We know that, V.D=(mass of a certain volume of gas)/(mass of same volume of hydrogen)

=mass of 22.4L of gas/mass of 22.4 L of hydrogen

=Molecular mass of gas/Molecular mass of hydrogen

=Molecular mass of gas/2

  • Therefore Molecular mass of a gas =2×Vapour density
