Step-by-step explanation:

in a triangle right angled ABC where ∠B is 90°

take ∠A

sin A = BC/AC

sin²A = BC²/AC²

cos A = AB/AC

cos²A = AB²/AC²

add them

sin²A + cos²A = AB²/AC²  +  BC²/AC²

                       = (AB²+BC²)/AC²

                       = (AC²)/AC² = 1

sin²A + cos²A = 1

hence proved

hope this helps
