abd \: is \: a \: right \: angled \: at \: d \: with \: bad = 30  \: nd \: abd \:  =  \: 60 \: degree

bd =   \frac{1}{2} bc =  \: a \\ ad = ab - bd = {2a} \:  - {a} \:  =  \: 3a

ad \:  =  \sqrt[a]{3}

similarly...

 \sin(60)  =  \frac{a}{d}  =  \frac{a \sqrt{3} }{2a}  =   \frac{ \sqrt{3} }{2}
