 <  trigonometric \: identities > \\  {sin}^{2} \theta +  {cos}^{2} \theta = 1 \\ cos\theta \: sec\theta = 1  \\  \\ \\ now \\  \frac{{sin}^{2} \theta +  {cos}^{2} \theta }{cos\theta}  \\  =  \frac{1}{cos \theta}  \\  = sec \theta
