Prove that : sin ( x + y ) = sin x cos y + cos x sin y

This is a compound angle formula.

Let there be 2 angles:x and y.

So, taking the sin of these angles, we get x=sin x and y=sin y

Using the compound angle rule, we get

sin( x + y ) = sin x cos y + cos x sin y.
