Prove that sin ( x+y ) / sin(x+y) = tan X + tan y / tan X - tan y ​

Solution

LHS

sin( x-y) / sin (X+y) =

sinx cosy -cosx siny/ sinx cosy + cosx siny

Dividing Nr and Dr with cosx cosy .

(sinx cosy - cosx siny/ cosx cosy )/( sinx cosy + cosx siny / cosx cosy )

tan x + tan y / tan x - tan y

hence proved
