Madhya Pradesh was formed with the amalgamation of Bhopal State, Madhya Bharat province, and Madhya Bharat province. The Mysore state was extended as Western Hyderabad state and Coorg states were included to it. Later in the year 1973, Mysore State was re-named as Karnataka.
