first draw the diagram
they will have equal area only if they lie on the same or equal bases and it is already given that they lie between same parellels
according to the theoram that is parallelogram on the same base or equal bases that lie between same parellels have equal area
if 2 squares have equal bases or same base and lie between same parellels have equal area because a square is also a parallelogram
