Solving the equation using the formula

x =  \frac{ - b +  -  \sqrt{ {b}^{2}  - 4ac} }{2a}

x =  \frac{5 +  -  \sqrt{1} }{12}

x =  \frac{1}{3}  \:  and \: x =  \frac{1}{2}
