To find the sum of the interior angles of a pentagon, divide it up into triangles... There are three triangles... Because the sum of the angles of each triangle is 180 degrees... We get 3×180=540

pentagon is 5 sided shape and if we divide it in three equal triangles ∆ABC,∆PQR,∆XYZ
then we can get its sum . As we know that sum of interior angles of ∆ is 180°:-
∆ABC+∆PQR+∆XYZ
180°+180°+180°
540°. proved
