since, altitudes from two vertices are equal

therefore, angle opp to them must be equal.

therefore draw a seg as bisector from one vertex of triangle

then prove the new triangle formed similar

show that ,

two segments congruent to each other by c.s.c.t

Ans :-

To Prove :- The hypotenuse is the longest side.

Proof :-

In triangle ABC

angle B = 90°

angle B > angle C (because it is a right angle)

AC > AB -(1) (In a triangle greater angle has longer side opposite to it.)

angle B > angle A (because it is a right angle)

AC > BC -(2) (In a triangle greater angle has longer side opposite to it.)

comparing (1) and (2)

AC is the longest side.

so hypotenuse is the longest side.

Hence proved !!!
