Let the time period of a wave be T seconds.

In T seconds, number of waves generated = 1.

So in 1 second no. of waves generated =1/T

but number of waves generated

Hi mate

Answer

According to this question

Let the time period of the wave is T seconds

Now

In 1 second the number of waves are generated = 1/T

But ,

Number of waves generated in 1 seconds be frequency

V = 1 /T

Now

Velocity = Distance travelled / Time taken

V = λ/ T

⇒ V= 1/T *  λ

⇒ V = vλ

I hope it is proved

check it once
