but root 2 can't be represent in the form p by q

1) root 2 = p/q

   square on both sides

    root 2 square  = p/q square

root and square cancled

     2 = p/q square

  2/1 = p/q square

  = p/2q square

   rational form is  p/q and q not equal to 0

   so all are irrational numbers
