Given that AC = AB.

By BE and AC,

Area of ΔABC = 1/2 × BE × AC

By CF and AB.

Area of ΔABC = 1/2 × CF × AB

Both the areas are equal.

∴ 1/2 × BE × AC = 1/2 × CF × AB

1/2 on both sides will be cut and we get,

BE × AC = CF × AB

As AC = AB, both will be cut and we get,

BE = CF

∴ The altitudes are equal.
