prove the following identity : if x = a sec theta, y = b tan theta, prove that a^2/x^2-b^2/y^2=1

x=a sec@ =>(x/a)=sec @..(I)

y=b tan @ =>(y/b)=tan @. (ii)

Also, sec ^2@ - tan ^2 @=1 ( Identity (

So, from eq(I) and (ii)

(x/a)^2 - (y/b)^2 =1
