sin ( x - π/2 ) = -sin ( π/2 - x ) = -cos x
so the whole product is
sec ( x + π/2 ) sin ( x - π/2 ) tan x
= ( -1/sin x ) ( -cos x ) ( sin x / cos x )
= 1
