Answer:

Responses were noticed in cases of animals' migration and hibernation.

Responses were noticed in cases of plants' gravity, touch, and movement of the Sun.

Explanation:

Animals respond to changes in their environment.

  • Migration: It is when the animals move from one place to another in response to seasonal changes. They travel to places where they can find food. Examples: butterflies, ducks, cranes.
  • Hibernation: Due to the cold climate, animals hibernate. It is a state when an animal reduces its body activity and uses preserved food. Examples: ants, snakes, beavers.

Plants respond to changes in their environment.

  • Movement of the Sun: Young sunflowers move towards the Sun to receive sunlight. It needs light for photosynthesis.
  • Gravity: The roots of the plants respond positively to the ground, they spread widely in search of water and minerals and their stems respond negatively to growing away from the ground.
  • Touch: Mimosa pudica, is touch sensitive. When it is touched it closes its leaves.

Hence, plants and animals do respond to the changes in the environment.
