Answer:

Angle ABC=Angle ACB     (Sides opposite to equal angle are equal)     ...(1)

x=Angle BAC + Angle ACB

Angle ACB = x + Angle BAC                            .......(2)

y =Angle BAC + Angle ABC

Angle ABC = y + Angle BAC                         ..........(3)

From Equation 1,2 and 3

x + Angle BAC = y + Angle BAC

              x=y

⭐️ SOLUTION :-

In an isosceles ΔABC...

We know that

=> ∠ABC = ∠ACB ---(i) (as it is the property of isosceles Δ)

TO PROVE :-

x = y or ∠DBA = ∠ECA

PROOF :-

As DBC is a straight line,

So, ∠ABC + ∠ABD = 180°

=> x = 180° - ∠ABC ----(ii)

Also,

∠ECA + ∠BCA = 180°

=> y = 180° - ∠ACB ----(iii)

From equation --(i), --(ii) and --(iii) we can see that

x = y

L.H.S. = R.H.S

Hence, proved....
