[Question] What causes the feeling of not wanting to do something and then once you actually do start, it's enjoyable?

Can anyone relate to this? Sometimes in a day I don't feel like starting even the things I enjoy. These aren't usually quick things like taking out the trash, these are usually activities that take more dedication and time. For example, oftentimes I feel like programming or going to the gym, but I just don't start. Sometimes a day will pass and then when I feel like doing those things or I force myself to, they're actually enjoyable and I have fun doing them. Does anyone know what causes this?

I am trying to get a new job and move to a new city, which is stressful, but I'm not sure this is a cause for the feeling. On a rare occasion I will have a fleeting feeling of not wanting to do anything at all. This is very unlike the self I've been most of my life.
