pteridophytes are vascular plants.yet they are not included under phanerogamae.why?​

Pteridophytes are not considered as phanerogams because they do not bear seeds.

Additional Information :

Phanerogams are those plants which bears or possess seeds. Even though the pteridophyte has the vascular system but still they lack the ability to produce seeds. Because of this reason, they are not considered as phanerogams.

Some examples of pteridophytes includes : Selaginella, Lycopodium, Salvinia, etc.

The body of these plants are properly differentiated into parts like stem, leaves and roots.

They are the first group to plants to possess the vascular system or tissues.
