Public demonstration causes a lot of disturbance in daily routine of common man. You almost

missed your important entrance examination as people blocked the highway. As Tarun / Taruna, a

student aspiring to be a doctor, write a letter to the Editor of The Times of India highlighting the

need to discourage such demonstrations and disturbance by public on highways which cause a

great loss of time and opportunity for many. (100-125 words)

Respected Sir,

Subject: Troubles faced by public during strikes.

I am a regular reader of your newspaper and through your esteemed newspaper, I would bring to notice the troubles faced at the time of public demonstration. At the time of dharnas or strikes, the most affected persons are the common man.

I myself, became the victim of such dharnas. As a result, I could not reach the entrance exams and missed my IAS exams. I was very disappointed and so were my family members. Missing these exams, I have wasted so much money and my precious 15 months.

Thus, through your esteemed newspaper I appeal to the people to be against these strikes and dharnas. If they want to protest, they should do it peacefully without damaging any property or harming the people in any way.

The Government and police must take strict actions against these demonstrators.

Thanking you,

Yours truly,

Taruna.

f, The students in these schools are from the unprivileged families. Some of them hardly get meals from their homes. So, in that case, these mid day meals would provide nutrition to these students. It would prove beneficial for their studies.

Thus, I hereby request the concerned authorities to ensure that the food is cooked in hygienic conditions and is fresh.

Thanking You,

Your’s faithfully,

Rajeev Dixit.
