Pulling a wire is doubled. If the resistance of the previous wire is 2 ohms, what is the resistance now?

We know that, Resistance of a wire R=Aρ l

∴R∝l

When length l is doubled, while Area A & resistivity ρ remains the same.

Hence, the new resistance becomes two times the initial resistance, Option(B) is correct
