Answer:

Bina covers more distance by 9020 meters.

Step-by-step explanation:

We have to find the perimeter.

Perimeter of square = 4 × a

= 4 × 85

= 340 m

Perimeter of rectangle = L × B

= 130 × 72

= 9360 m

Difference = 9360 - 340 = 9020 m

Step-by-step explanation:

Solution :-

Given that

The side of square field = 85 m

We know that

Perimeter of a square = 4×side sq.units

Perimeter of the square = 4×85 m

=> Perimeter = 340 m

So, Puneet runs 340 m around the square field ------(1)

and

Length of the rectangular field = 130 m

Breadth of the rectangular field = 72 m

We know that

Perimeter of a rectangle = 2(l+b) units

Perimeter of the rectangular field

= 2(130+72) m

= 2(202) m

= 404 m

So, Bina runs 404 m around the rectangular field ------(2)

From (1)&(2)

Bina runs more distance than Puneet by 404-340 = 64 m

Answer :-

Bina covers 64 m more distance than Puneet
