Pure yellow seeded plant is crossed with green seeded plant. (a) Is this an example of monohybrid or dihybrid cross ? (b) What is the phenotype in F1 generation ? (c) What is the ratio of phenotype and genotype in F2 generation ? (d) Which other contrasting trait pair can be taken ?

F1 will 1:1
F2 will 1:2:1 in which 1-1 each is pure and 2 is hybrid
F2 will 1:2:1 in which 1-1 each is pure and 2 is hybrid

hi friend!,
take pure yellow as YY and pure green as yy
a)when pure yellow seeded plant crossed with green seeded plant it is a mono hybrid cross because we are only crossing with taking one trait (color).
b)F1 generation is yY(heterogenous yellow) and the phenotype is that Yy is yellow .
c)when we self pollinate Yy we got YY Yy Yy and yy in F2 generation
so the ratio (phenotypic)= 1:3
and, ratio(genotypic) = 1:2:1
d) we can take height like tall and short or shape like round and wrinkled
