Step-by-step explanation:

A pyramid is given with five series having numbers and dash (blanks) in it; whereas 248 is resultant value. We need to fill the blanks in such a way that their sum is the value given at the top i.e. 248.

248 is given at the top and below it there are two blanks. If we divide 248 by 2 we will get the sum of 248. So, 248/2 is 124. And sum of 124 and 124 is 248.

→ 248

124 124

This time there are three blanks and value of the middle one is 55 (already given). Subtract 55 from 124, on subtracting we get 69. The sum of 69 and 55 is 124 (which is the value given in the above series of it).

69 55 69

Now, 42 is given in the last in the fourth series. Subtract 42 from 69 to get the number before 42 in fourth series.

__ __ 27 42

Now, subtract 27 from 55 to get the value before 27 in fourth series. On subtracting 27 from 55 we get 28. Similarly, subtract 28 from 69 to get the value of first blank in the fourth series.

41 28 27 42

Similarly; on subtracting the value given in last blank from the value given above it or write the middle numbers in such a way that their sum is the number given in the upper middle number.
