Green line = Ground

Ye a all il 53%

Small black line = pole of 10 m

Long black line = pole of 34 m = AB = Difference between poles =

distance between their feet = 7 m

Solution :

By Pythagoras Theorem,

(Length of long pole - Length of small pole )^2 + ( distance between the poles )^2 = ( distance between their

tops )^2

( 34 - 10 )^2 + ( AB )^2 = ( AC )^2

→ ( 24 )^2 + (7 )^2 = ( AC )^2

+ 576 + 49 = ( AC)^2

625 = ( AC)^2

25 = AC
