Q-1))A body is thrown vertically upwards .It's velocity goes on decreasing .What happens to its kinetic energy as its velocity becomes zero....

Q-2))A horse and a dog are running with same speed .If the weight of the horse is ten times that of the dog, what is the ratio of their kinetic energies...~??

Hii!!

1. When a body is thrown upward it moving under the acceleration due to gravity of so its velocity is continuously getting reduced!!

According to the law of conservation of energy its KE is getting converted into PE because

W° = work function
W° = KE + PE!
here PE converting into KE!!

2. Here,
mass is directly proportional to KE
mass of horse is 10x of dog then
the ratio becomes 10 : 1

hope it helps!!!

HEY DEAR....!!

(a) when a body is thrown upwards ,it's kinetic energy gradually change into potential energy .At the highest point where it's velocity becomes zero ,whole of kinetic energy get converted in potential energy..

(b) kinetic energy = 1/2 x mass x velocity

if the speed is constant
the dog and horse are in the ratio 1 : 10

K.k1 : K. k2 = Mass of dog : Mass of horse= 1:10

HOPE IT'S HELP U ☺
