Step-by-step explanation:

(a) Let the breadth=Xcm

length=2x cm

area of Rectangle= L×b

x×2x=2x²

(b)Breadth=Xcm

length= 4x cm

area= x×4x= 4x²

(c) ratio of both rectangles= 2x²/4x²=1/2= 1:2

(D) we can observe that the area of new rectangle is double of area of original rectangle
