- Lencho's house was situated on the crest of the low hill in the valley. Lencho is the main character of the story “The Letter to God.” He is a poor farmer who is the sole bread-earner of the family. He had faith in God. Lencho lived in a small house which was situated on the crest of a low hill in the valley.
- lencho and Earth needs an immediate rain shower as lencho need it for his good production of crops so that he will get a good price for his crops and here Earth is said to be as the field of crops that lencho has his crops. Earth also need rain shower so that lencho's field give good quality of crops.
- Lencho was a man who belive in God. He prayed the God for a shower of rain as his crop was ready for harvest . The rain started with blowing of strong winds and suddenly hail stone started to come along with the rain. This hail rain destroyed his whole crop of lencho.
- Lencho is a "farmer" and he depends on rain for farming. He compares the raindrops with the new coins because the raindrops help him to grow and harvest the crops and it will also help Lencho to get more money which in turn enriches his lifestyle. So in order to get more money he should harvest the crops correctly. Lencho hoped for rain from the sky so he was happy.In fact,rain started and he went to his field to enjoy.But, after sometime the rain changed into hailstones which destroyed his crops .He was very depressed .The hailstones filled water on his hopes.In this way,his happiness changed into deep concern.
- In general, when heavy hailstorms occur they mainly cause great harm to the crops of several farmers but they also can injure people when hail stones hit them as they are hard. With respect to the farmer Lencho ,it made him suffer from the deep grief of losing his crop.
- Lencho wrote the letter to God as he thought that he would be the only one to help him in his bad times. He wrote a letter addressing to God to send him 100 pesos so that he and his family can survive in such a difficult situation.
